CBE Sustainability Trainings Survey 2021

The Department of Small & Local Business Development (DSLBD) is excited to be working with the Department of Energy and the Environment (DOEE) and the DC Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU) for a second year of sustainability trainings and certifications for Certified Business Enterprise (CBE), CBE-eligible firms and their staff.

This short, 5-10 minute survey is distributed to CBEs with NIGP codes related to sustainable contracting practices, and open to all CBE-eligible businesses in the District.

  • By completing this survey, you will receive advance notice of free, upcoming sustainability training and certification opportunities provided for CBE and CBE-eligible firms summer 2021.
  • To best serve CBEs, we are seeking more information about your interest in these trainings and your current and planned participation in the sustainable contracting marketplace.
  • This information will be used by DSLBD, DOEE, and the DCSEU to better attune training and other resources to support CBEs.
Questions or need additional support? Please reach out to DSLBD's Innovation & Equitable Development team at Inno.ED@dc.gov.

“CBE-eligible” means a business entity organized for profit that does not have an active certificate of registration as a local business enterprise issued by the Department of Small and Local Business Development (“Department”), but can nonetheless demonstrate that it meets all requirements for certification as a local business enterprise pursuant to D.C. Official Code § 2–218.31 and Chapter 8 of Title 27 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations, and is not currently subject to penalties by the Department pursuant to D.C. Official Code § 2–218.63.
If you are not sure whether your business is CBE eligible, you can still complete this survey. We will ask you to share a few additional details so we can support you in understanding whether you are CBE-eligible.
